Congress should be limited in the number of terms they can serve. It is a privilege and a duty, not a career.

Members of Congress are privy to privileged information regarding companies and their dealings. Members of congress should not be able to hold or trade stock personally while in office. Profiting off privileged information is insider trading, plain and simple. 

This role is a privilege and a duty, not a career. Politicians should not be rewarded for staying in office when the vast majority of Americans do not get pensions.

Companies should be investing in America first, in jobs, infrastructure, manufacturing, and education. If they don't, they should be taxed accordingly. Companies that outsource to countries that unfairly manipulate their currency to compete with the US should be taxed accordingly.

The original "War on Drugs" was a failure because we penalized those suffering rather than those causing the problem. We need to help our neighbor and fight the drug problem where it starts.

Veterans are the real heroes, and we should support them. Applause and ceremonies are great, but we can do more. We need better healthcare, mental health care, and housing assistance for all veterans.

Nobody wants your guns. Keep them. All of them. What we do need is a national registry for firearm background checks, and a simple, efficient background check system.

 Looking at the top 10 countries in military spending, 7 of the top 10 are close allies (excluding China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia) and we spend over double their combined military spend every year. 

 The US has some of the best doctors in the world, and some of the worst healthcare prices. We're talking about medications, procedures, ambulance rides, preexisting conditions, etc. This needs an overhaul. 

Animals rely on us and cannot advocate for themselves; we need to speak for them. Laws must better protect animals from physical harm, animal mills, paid fighting, etc.

Hard-working Americans pay into Social Security their whole lives. There should not be a question of getting that money back. Period.

The minimum wage was designed to be the wage that a person could survive, thrive, and raise a family on their own and it must be again. Lets pick 1985: adjusted for inflation, our minimum wage would be about $2.50 in comparison. To have the same buying power today the minimum wage should be over $20.

Taxes need a revamp; it should not take cumbersome software to figure out how much you owe or are owed.

Millionaires and billionaires that pay less of a tax rate than regular folks is wrong. We need more IRS agents to hold the ultra-wealthy accountable, and we need tax rates that generate revenue vs giving breaks to those that don't need them.

Companies can fire you with a moments notice, but this isn't true across the world. We must join in establishing an even playing field between employees and employers. For example, establishing rules for layoffs and paid family leave.

US agriculture has a positive trade balance, but its not something we should take for granted. America should be comfortably food-independent with local farmers vs big corporate farms.

National voting days should be a federal holiday to ensure everyone who wants to vote can make it to the polls. Further, everyone eligible should be registered to vote when they turn 18 automatically, no exceptions. Perfect world? Lets find a way that makes voting super easy and secure.

Free food for all children in schools. No restrictions on income or eligibility. Full stop. 

School meals should be healthy, nutritious, and locally sourced where possible. This ties directly into America Needs Farmers.

Supreme Court Justices should be limited in the number of terms they can serve. The Court should have the opportunity to change to reflect the changing ideals and demographics of the country.

Roe v. Wade was settled law and should not have been overturned. We support the right to an abortion up to 20 weeks or if the life of the mother is at risk.

Legalize it.

We believe in being yourself. If you aren't hurting anyone or yourself, more power to you.

The United States should be energy-independent, and every house that is able should assist with that endeavor. Renewable energy is the future and we should help get there.

This one is complex, so we will keep it simple here: abolish cash bail, abolish forced/cheap labor in prison, help the police do what police are hired to do, fix the jails and fight recidivism.

Over 43k bridges in the US are listed as structurally deficient. We will create jobs by replacing these bridges.

We subsidize Amtrak for subpar performance, mediocre railcars, and outdated railways. The US should be a leader in high-speed railways that connect our nation.

The United States currently has 5 territories and numerous outlying islands. These territories should either become states or sovereign, independent nations.

State college should be free. Financing for college should not be a burden or borderline criminal. If you make your payments you should not owe more. Simple.

Corporations aren't people. Rulings that have expanded the rights of corporations have perverted the rule of law. You cannot send a corporation to prison. They are not people.

Corporations should not able to control all aspects of their market; this hurts consumers and goes against the free-market economy. We will fight against TicketMaster and Luxottica, for example.
